History of Technology in Education

Technology in education sure has come a long way since the early 1900s. In a nutshell, and to speak quite frankly, the entire scope of technology has reshaped and is constantly transforming the way students learn, how instructors teach, and the way both teachers and students communicate with each other.

But, of course, there are some who believe that classrooms are being overtaken by technological advances and leaving little room for the actual learning process. Almost everything on our planet evolves over time, and the same principle applies to technology in education. We are living in an era of 'blended learning,' which is simply mixing education and technology together. Laysha Ward, president of Community Relations for Target, Inc., shares her insightful Huff Post Impact entitled  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/laysha-ward/reimagining-learning-digi_b_3135414.html,which I agree with every words she states. As a matter of fact, doesn't innovative technology require education and learning anyway?

It's so important for us to embrace the history of education in terms of technology. A great benefit of teaching technological history is that it allows our modern generation to learn the old ways of education, giving them the opportunity to appreciate the advancement of technology and use digital resources in an exciting and collaborative way. Technology isn't going anywhere, so let's continue to use it, explore opportunities, and learn together with technology.
